Live (Free) OKR coaching opportunity ✨this Friday!✨

Hi Reader,

I've been a day off all week this week, so in keeping with that trend, I'm sending this week's newsletter earlier than usual to let you know about an opportunity to see or participate in OKR coaching in action this Friday:

What: LIVE (free) OKR coaching spot-coaching sessions

Who is this for? Volunteer "clients" who want help creating an Objective or Key Result for their company, team, or group

Where: Live on LinkedIn

When: This Friday, 9am Pacific/12pm Eastern

RSVP here: https://findrc.co/jul26live (and if you would like to volunteer as a client, reply here or message me on LinkedIn!)

Why am I doing this?

Aside from thinking this is going to be fun 🤣... I need to gather example coaching sessions for my upcoming Coaching No-BS OKRs workshop, and I would love to have some examples from both people in my existing network and also some folks who are brand new to this work with me.

Would you like to volunteer as a "client?" Hit reply, and I'll save a spot for you!

Want to just observe to see what No-BS OKR coaching looks like? You're welcome to join and observe.

This event is going to be live on LinkedIn, but by participating, you're agreeing to the event's confidentiality and privacy stipulations, spelled out on the event page.

Have colleagues or other folks in your network who might benefit from this? Share the LinkedIn post with them... the more the merrier!

That's it for this week... I'm in the disoriented "which way is up" stage after completing my certification boards yesterday... I won't know results for 6-8 weeks, but pass or fail I am so grateful I decided to study up and take that exam this summer. The refresher on all of the skills I learned in my professional coach training about helping people create their own agenda and plans for achieving necessary behavior change has been incredible. So much of that learning is woven into the work I do every day; but being able to refresh my practices with evidence-based approaches to helping people change their behavior (and make it stick) has me a bit on fire right now. Because what good are goals, if we don't change our behavior in order to achieve them?

I hope you have a great week... book cover reveal is postponed to next week partly because the news cycle is rather distracted this week... so I'll be back in your inbox next week with that big news!

No-BS OKRs + Career Fulfillment for Rebelutionary Leaders and Thinkydoers

I help changemaker leaders, teams, and other Thinkydoers understand their strengths, increase their quantifiable impact, and become fulfilled in their careers (without masking or mind-reading). My "how?" Accessible, efficient approaches to strategy creation, alignment, and operationalizing for goal achievement, with a special focus on Objectives and Key Results (OKRs). The approaches I coach and teach today build on well-honed expertise leading adult learning, instructional design, marketing, creative strategy and strategic operations at some of the world’s largest enterprises, and in public sector and political roles. In my individual coaching work via Thinkydoers, I help people who are "wired differently" (or otherwise "not from Leadership Central Casting") build authentic, rewarding careers as the leaders of change our world needs today. When not working with Red Currant Collective, my "other life" is in professional motorcycle racing. 🏍️

Hi Reader, Ever been told you’re “too analytical” or that you “overcomplicate things?" Or the flip side -- have you heard or thought: "You/I need to be more strategic." You may also be a leader who's given that feedback... or, heard in your employee surveys that people don't know what's expected of them, or how their work aligns to your strategy. "Does my work even matter?" is a red-flag question for leaders and staffers alike. In today’s Thinkydoers episode, I’m sharing a live reading of the...

Hey Reader, You know that feeling when you can see exactly how things could work better, but turning those insights into reality feels like pushing a boulder uphill? I’ve spent years developing frameworks that help people like us—the deep thinkers, the square pegs, the ones who see patterns others miss—transform our strategic vision into measurable impact. Previously, those frameworks have been available to my corporate clients and a small number of invited individual participants. For the...

Hi Reader, For some of you reading, this week may be business as usual. For the rest of us, this week in American politics marks a significant shift in the landscape we operate in. You may be reeling with fear or uncertainty about the implications for your life and work. Frankly, I'm in the second camp. To be prepared for any outcome, I'd architected two different business plans for the last several months: One based on business as usual, And another based on the potential for significant...
