Beta window still open: Evolutionary OKRs Playbook

Published 11 months ago • 1 min read

Hi, Reader!

At some point in the past, you expressed interest in beta reading my work-in-progress Evolutionary OKRs Playbook, which I shared a few weeks ago. Here's a quick reminder that the beta reading window is still open, and I'd love your feedback (even if you only get partly through it).

Here is a PDF copy via Adobe Cloud:
https://acrobat.adobe.com/link/review?uri=urn:aaid:scds:US:3a4fa8e7-0340-4f9e-b49a-66cc72655027

I don't need copyedits at this stage -- I know there are errors and we'll catch them with a final edit!

I'm more curious about overall structural and substantive feedback, if you’re willing to make some notes / share your thoughts on any or all of these:

  1. Where do you get confused or lost?
  2. Where do you have unanswered questions (and what are they)?
  3. Where do you disagree, or have a different experience or view?
  4. Where did you start to get bored and feel like skipping ahead or stopping reading?
  5. Is there anything you find particularly interesting or helpful?

You can leave comments and make marks in the PDF I share with you via Adobe Cloud -- that draft is shared with a small cohort of test readers, so don’t be alarmed if you see notes from others in there too!

OR you can always email me back directly if that’s easier (or frankly, send your feedback any way you like -- I'm just really grateful that anyone may take the time to help me make this better).

Thank you -- I appreciate your help getting this one step closer to publication!

Rebelutionary Leadership & Career Fulfillment for Thinkydoers

Hosted by Sara Lobkovich

I help changemaker leaders, teams, and other Thinkydoers understand their strengths, increase their quantifiable impact, and become fulfilled in their careers (without masking or mind-reading). My "how?" Accessible, efficient approaches to strategy creation, alignment, and operationalizing for goal achievement, with a special focus on Objectives and Key Results (OKRs). The approaches I coach and teach today build on well-honed expertise leading adult learning, instructional design, marketing, creative strategy and strategic operations at some of the world’s largest enterprises, and in public sector and political roles. In my individual coaching work via Thinkydoers, I help people who are "wired differently" (or otherwise "not from Leadership Central Casting") build authentic, rewarding careers as the leaders of change our world needs today. When not working with Red Currant Collective, my "other life" is in professional motorcycle racing. 🏍️

Hey Reader, I'm working hard to drum up an awesome cohort for the No-BS OKRs session that's now open, and things are off to a good start! I have heard from more folks than usual this time around about barriers to participation in this cohort, and the last thing I want is for barriers to stop you -- the whole point of moving No-BS OKRs to my own platform is to reduce barriers. So let's cut to the chase: 🏃 If you'd like to participate but can't join live, this cohort is able to be completed...

Hey Reader, Feedback on the original No-BS OKRs workshop has yielded an unexpected recurring theme: "People who know nothing about OKRs need to hear about this." It got me to thinking about the questions friends and family ask, curiously, as they've watched my career evolve. The two most frequent are some variation of: "WTF are OKRs?" and "Why the *bleep* are you so far down this rabbithole?" If you're reading this, you're probably already down the rabbithole with me 😂 ... But I decided this...
