Hi, Reader!
At some point in the past, you expressed interest in beta reading my work-in-progress Evolutionary OKRs Playbook.
This version of the book has been through testing with a cohort of OKR drafters, and one early beta read round -- and I've reached the point where I can't even stand to look at it and my impulse is to scrap it and start over from scratch for the fourth time.
BUT instead of doing so, I'm going to call it "good enough for a start," and kick off another beta read.
Earlier today I told one of my course participants who requested a copy:
"The full beta is in design and pre-production right now, with a digital preview release (gulp) in the next few weeks!"
So now the draft you're about to receive access to will forever be known as the "Gulp Preview."
There is NO obligation to review the draft – but if you’d like to, I’d love your feedback (even if you only get partly through it).
I don't need copyedits at this stage -- I know there are errors and we'll catch them with a final edit.
I'm more curious about overall structural and substantive feedback, if you’re willing to make some notes / share your thoughts on any or all of these:
You can leave comments and make marks in the PDF I share with you via Adobe Cloud -- that draft is shared with a small cohort of test readers, so don’t be alarmed if you see notes from others in there too!
OR you can always email me back directly if that’s easier (or frankly, send your feedback any way you like -- I'm just really grateful that anyone may take the time to help me make this better).
Access will be open for at least two weeks (and probably longer, unless the number of reviewers in the file gets unmanageable, in which case I'll do another pass based on the early feedback and send out an updated link in a few weeks).
Thank you!

Hi Reader, It's perfect timing for me to be laid out with the flu this week when the next two are nuts with travel and then the last few days of prep before the print launch of my book. Despite not firing on all cylinders, it's a big week here at No-BS HQ! I'm so grateful for this Forbes feature that went live today: 👉🏼 Bias Thrives In Ambiguity—OKRs Can Change That, by Aparna Rae Aparna Rae is a must-follow -- she's an outspoken advocate of data and results in DEI, and I've been a huge fan...
Hi Reader, Ever been told you’re “too analytical” or that you “overcomplicate things?" Or the flip side -- have you heard or thought: "You/I need to be more strategic." You may also be a leader who's given that feedback... or, heard in your employee surveys that people don't know what's expected of them, or how their work aligns to your strategy. "Does my work even matter?" is a red-flag question for leaders and staffers alike. In today’s Thinkydoers episode, I’m sharing a live reading of the...
Hey Reader, You know that feeling when you can see exactly how things could work better, but turning those insights into reality feels like pushing a boulder uphill? I’ve spent years developing frameworks that help people like us—the deep thinkers, the square pegs, the ones who see patterns others miss—transform our strategic vision into measurable impact. Previously, those frameworks have been available to my corporate clients and a small number of invited individual participants. For the...
