Are you a Chief of Staff (or in a CoS-like role), or, do you work with one?

Hi Reader,

Are you a Chief of Staff?

Or, do you work in a "chief of staff-like" role in ops, people and culture, strategy, or another discipline — whatever your title?

If you're a leader's "right hand," or you're the person they call when something has to get done, then I really want you to click this link.

Or, are you a leader who works with a Chief of Staff (or someone in a similar capacity)?

If so, I really want you to click this link!

If not, but you may have Chiefs of Staff in your network, can you please give me a quick share on these social posts:

What's this all about?

I'm gearing up for this summer's Goal Fridays series, where I go live every Friday at 9am for six to eight Fridays in a row for a free community offering, and this time, I'm focusing on professional development and career support for Chiefs of Staff (and folks who do that work without the title).

Your input on one or the other survey will inform the content of that series, (and an upcoming pilot of a formal professional development program for Chiefs of Staff to follow).

I cannot describe to you how deeply working with Chiefs of Staff is my happy place.

It's wild that so much of my career has been spent in that capacity and I've never formally had that title myself ... but for years, that role was my reality. The delicate balance of operations, strategy, and get-it-done, all while juggling the sometimes complicated relationship (and occasionally, feelings and frustrations) of working in such close contact with the C-suite.

And ever since I started this business, I've wanted to specifically serve Chiefs of Staff — not just as a part of my client engagements, coach trainings, and public cohorts. When I think about the ongoing community that I'm most drawn to building, it's people in those "right hand roles" I'd really love to spend more of my own time with.

So if you help me out with this ask, not only will you be among the first to hear when the Goal Fridays invitation goes live: you'll also be a part of shaping the learning experience you'll then have a chance to participate in.

Take a few minutes and share your point of view (or with your network), and then I'll be back in your inbox soon with an invite to the free Goal Fridays series!

Thank you so much!

Hi Reader, It's perfect timing for me to be laid out with the flu this week when the next two are nuts with travel and then the last few days of prep before the print launch of my book. Despite not firing on all cylinders, it's a big week here at No-BS HQ! I'm so grateful for this Forbes feature that went live today: 👉🏼 Bias Thrives In Ambiguity—OKRs Can Change That, by Aparna Rae Aparna Rae is a must-follow -- she's an outspoken advocate of data and results in DEI, and I've been a huge fan...

Hi Reader, Ever been told you’re “too analytical” or that you “overcomplicate things?" Or the flip side -- have you heard or thought: "You/I need to be more strategic." You may also be a leader who's given that feedback... or, heard in your employee surveys that people don't know what's expected of them, or how their work aligns to your strategy. "Does my work even matter?" is a red-flag question for leaders and staffers alike. In today’s Thinkydoers episode, I’m sharing a live reading of the...

Hey Reader, You know that feeling when you can see exactly how things could work better, but turning those insights into reality feels like pushing a boulder uphill? I’ve spent years developing frameworks that help people like us—the deep thinkers, the square pegs, the ones who see patterns others miss—transform our strategic vision into measurable impact. Previously, those frameworks have been available to my corporate clients and a small number of invited individual participants. For the...
